Named by Liang Dingyi at Xipo Mayangpusera, Zanda County, Tibet

Synonym: Degongka Fm (spelling)


Lithology and Thickness

It is gray-yellow medium-thick limestone and nodular limestone. The thickness is 25-30 m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

The bottom marked by nodular limestone is in conformable contact onto the underlying Lower Triassic Danggongla Fm

Upper contact

The top marked by nodular limestone is in conformable contact with the overlying Zharinaya Fm of Ladinian; or overlain by the Mangxiangyu Fm of Ladinian (Zhada region schematic stratigraphic column.)

Regional extent

Mainly distributed in Tibet Zadamayang, Jiesheng, Manzongrong, Manxiangyu and Bolin and other places, and also found in Pulandorang and Dingga mountain pass and other places.

Fossils

Containing ammonoid Metagymnites jollyanus-Ptychites rugites assemblage, bivalve Cassianella qingyanensis combination; there are still gastropods. Conodont Neospathodus elongatus, Neogondolella regale are produced in the area of Puran.
